MOPAN side event at the GPEDC- HLM2

MOPAN – jointly with UNEG – organised a side-event at the Global Partnership’s HLM-2 in Nairobi on 30th November. Many stakeholders participated, in particular Norway whose State Secretary chaired the event, Luxembourg who represented MOPAN as a discussant, as well as the UK, USA, and Switzerland who spoke from the floor. It was a fruitful discussion, and showed that participants not only shared the ambition for Development Cooperation to contribute to results, but also agreed that multilateral assessments were key tools in that regard. Overall, there was agreement that there is scope to make assessments more relevant, less burdensome, more coordinated, and making better use of the findings in relevant fora, where we engage in Multilateral Organisations and their governing structures. We are attaching the summary if you would like to read more.
